A Friendly Challenge

My mojo had departed one evening and I was fresh out of ideas. I mentioned this to a couple of stampin’ friends and one gave me a challenge to create a card using Regarding Dahlias which is a set I love but find difficult to use. The challenge also included kraft and Crisp Cantaloupe. No problem there!

It was all I needed to get started and once I did, the pieces came together and I was quite happy with the result.

Confetti – not just for weddings!

Today I’m sharing a confetti card! I’ve seen several of these and there’s a lovely sample in the current Occasions catalogue which reminded me to give it a go.

I chose some backing paper, in this case it’s Strawberry Slush dots from the InColor designer series paper stack. Next, cut some vellum to size. I also stamped with white StazOn ink on my vellum to add some more interest. Then add some little punchies in various colours if you wish. Lastly, it’s just a case of assembling the card, making sure your confetti punchies are stuck between the vellum and backing paper. I chose to stitch mine together and finished with a little banner greeting. Love fun cards!
