Hello There Watercolouring

I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who is loving the current trend of watercolouring. It’s just so soft and sweet and dreamy. Last night I decided I needed to just craft for fun so I set about finding an online challenge that I wanted to participate in. I stumbled across Around the World Stampin’ Up! Challenges whose team had just released a new challenge. It was a colour challenge, which normally I’m not so taken with and actually the combo of Crisp Cantaloupe, So Saffron and Very Vanilla I found quite challenging. Nevertheless I decided to just have a go as playing was the object of the game anyway.

I decided to do some watercolouring couple with emboss resist. I’ve loved the look of the sentiments in the hostess set, Hello There, ever since I saw them and I knew the font would suit the dreaminess of the watercoloured colour combo perfectly. After that I basically went to town and added all the Cantaloupe, Saffron and Vanilla ribbons and embellishments that I had. I sewed them on (another love) and my card was done.

Hello There Watercolour. Complete card available from my Etsy store. Details @ www.thepapercaper.com.au

I kind of adore how it turned out. If you do too, purchase it now from my Etsy shop, or buy the supplies to DIY.
