Yesterday my sister-in-law was a gorgeous, beaming bride as she married her best friend. It was a beautiful, sun-shiney autumn day full to the brim with happiness. I was lucky enough to be asked to make some signs for the ceremony and honoured to be trusted with making the wedding cake. It was because of these, or probably and more accurately, my usual procrastinating self, that I sat down to make the wedding card only a few hours before we were due to arrive. The result was a simple, yet elegant card in the colours of the wedding. I simply couldn’t go past the ‘This Day Forward’ stamp set. It is truly beautiful with some lovely sentiments. My husband chose the Always and Forever sentiment which was simply mounted on dimensionals over the flourish, stamped in gold. The final touch was some paper piercing on both the outside and inside of the card just to finish it off. I was pleased with how it turned out, especially since I find wedding cards so scary! They have to be just right.
Here are a few snaps of the wedding cake and the signs I made for the big event.
