Today’s project is well overdue to be featured on my blog. I’ve used it so many times over the last few months for a challenge entry, SWAP design, advanced workshop project and last but not least, a 30th birthday card for my bestie.
You may recognise the card front from a blog post way back in July where I designed the card for a challenge I was entering. It’s so much fun that I decided to use it again, and add an exciting inside, for my team swap. Here’s the front to jog your memory…
The inside was inspired by Lisa Young, a US demo (I think), whose card I saw on Pinterest. I adjusted the dimensions to suit my metric card and here it is (in a different colour scheme to the original front)…
Isn’t it FUN? Don’t pop-ups just make you smile? I love that you could use this for many occasions too… birthdays, Christmas, engagements etc.
Lastly, here’s the version I made for my bestie who turned 30 on the weekend. Whilst I had made all the preceding cards using the Patio Party DSP and coordinating new In Colors, I had to change this one around to reflect her tastes. So I based hers on Primrose Petals with Twitterpated DSP, plus some sparkle!
Try one for yourself! They’re so much fun!
