It’s colour challenge week at GDP! I’ve got to say that I very rarely use Wild Wasabi so this challenge was a nice prompt to pull it out and get inky. On the flip side, I LOVE Berry Burst so that one wasn’t hard at all!
It looks like a few of us on the design team have Christmas in July on the brain. I’ve created a card that I’ve had in mind for a while. I’ve been missing my wreath sets lately but the new Hello Friend stamp set was straight to the rescue. I stamped a wreath in Wild Wasabi on damp watercolour paper and then spritzed it until I was happy with the bleed. Once dry, I stamped another over the top for more definition.
I added some sweet Berry Burst flowers and embossed them for shine and extra depth of colour. To emboss ordinary ink, first ink your stamp with VersaMark, then add water based ink. Stamp, cover with clear embossing powder and heat.
I obviously NEED a new holiday catalogue quite badly as I had to use a retired set for my sentiment. Not long to wait for some fresh new Christmas sets!
I hope you play along with this week’s colour challenge. You can even win a guest designer spot! FUN. Click here for more info…
