HELLO New Catalogue

Well hello there Friday! I don’t want to brag but we’re heading into a long weekend here in Melbourne and with a box of new catalogue goodies, it’s shaping up to be a great three days!

I was a little restrained with my first new catalogue order and only got two stamp sets ( I know!) but when it came time to crafting, I reached for some other new fun instead. Regular readers will know that I love to get all inky and messy so it’s probably no surprise that I decided to play with Stampin’ Up’s new embossing paste.

Did you know that you can colour it with ink? I was inspired by one of the paper packs and dyed my paste Pool Party, Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist (which by the way I CANNOT get enough of). I used a palette knife to leave a smoosh (?) of each colour on some Whisper White cardstock and then left to dry.

In the meantime I was distracted by the Perfect Days Card Kit (Stampin’ Up!’s version of Project Life) and its luscious colours and designs. It just may be my favourite thing ever. It has Lemon Lime Twist people!! Anyway… I got to thinking how amazing my embossing paste smooshes would look on on of the black and white cards and then well let me show you what happened in my brain after that…

Stampin' Up! Perfect Days Memories & More meets embossing paste

In case you can’t tell, I’ve smooshed some paste under a foil-printed acetate card. I know. The best part about it is that I didn’t have to work out a way to adhere it without the adhesive showing! It’s brilliant!

I mounted it onto some Lemon Lime Twist card (I know you saw that coming!) and accessorised with some of the cool adhesives that come in the kit along with some iridescent sequins.

So… back to the first one. I mounted it on some Flirty Flamingo & Berry Burst and then added some Lemon Lime Twist (is it getting old yet?) Ombre Ribbon and accessorised with more adhesives – yes they stick to dry embossing paste!

OK, well I hope I’ve inspired you to get busy with your embossing paste AND the Perfect Days Memories and More kit AND ANYTHING EVERYTHING Lemon Lime Twist.
