This week the Stamp Review Crew is featuring the lovely Picture Perfect stamp set. I’ll admit that realistic types of stamps aren’t really my cup of tea and to date, I’ve only used the starfish. I’ve seen such lovely cards made with the rose though that I wanted to give it a try.
Often I go a little over the top with my projects so ths week I wanted to keep it simple with a classic design and palette that suited the style and elegance of the rose. I started with a Sahara Sand card base and stamped the rose in VersaMark for a little interest and texture. Next I cut an oval using the new Stitched Shapes framelits – will I ever be able to go back to plain shapes without stitching??
Next I stamped the rose in Peekaboo Peach and Blushing Bride and fussy cut it alaong with a few leaves in Pear Pizzazz. Once of my favourite things about photopolymer stamps is the ability to bend them so I was able to stamp my sentiment in a curve around the edge of the oval. The only thing left to do was to adhere it all together and add some gold thread.
Well, it’s a little more simplistic than I prefer but I actually have just the person in mind to give it to and I think it will suit them to a tee.
Make sure you continue along the blog hop for more inspiration. Next up is the very talented (and newly announced Artisan Design Team 2017 member) Martha Inchley!
