11807699_10154108340912222_5910044014783842413_oHooray. It’s sketch challenge week at the Global Design Project.

13996319_10155177523397222_3925981142335766312_oThis week I was inspired by the colour combo I was wearing and then decided to do a Christmas theme, because, well apparently there are only 5 weeks to go!

I had a crazy idea to try stamping on my current fave DSP, Fancy Frost Specialty DSP. I chose the snowflake-y design and stamped and it actually turned out pretty well. I cut out my stamped image using the new (and addictive) Stitched Shapes framelits and then cut my second backing piece in Sahara Sand.

I decided that the Night of Navy base I had chosen was just a little too dark and bold but nothing else seemed to look quite right either. In the end I added some texture to the navy base with my favourite spots and stars stamp from Holly Jolly Greetings and I was happy.

Lastly I added some fun ribbon and accessories and my card was done.

  1. Jess, how do you even think of these things?! I love the textural look to the stamping using that DSP, very clever. So cool to catch up with you in Brisbane. Your presentation was fabulous xox
