My first project makes a feature of the beautiful hand-lettered style sentiments while still retaining the theme of the stamp set.

I started this card with a very light wash of Mint Macaron ink in the rough shape of tree foliage. Once dry, I stamped over the top with my branches in Early Espresso. Be sure to stamp off the branches a couple of times for a lighter colour. I then used my Embossing Buddy to de-static the card and stamped my sentiments in VersaMark and Mint Macaron, then embossed with Clear Embossing Powder for extra shine and texture.

I layered my stamped cardstock over more layers of Shimmery White cardstock and Serene Scenery DSP and added a strip of Burlap and a Mint Macaron/Linen Thread bow.

For my next project I wanted to show the versatility of the bundle so I went for a Christmas theme. There are trees and birds so… can you guess where I’m heading? Yes. Here’s my partridge in a pear tree card.

I first painted some Watercolor Paper with a mix of Garden Green and Delightful Dijon ink. Once dry, I stamped the leaves over the top in Garden Green and cut out with that divine thinlit. I layered it over the top of a Crumb Cake cardstock trunk. My pears were created from watercolour paper coloured with Delightful Dijon ink with Garden Green splatterings from a toothbrush. The pears were cut from one of the bird thinlits and I simply turned them sideways, trimmed off the beak and made the tail/stalk a little narrower – see I told you the bundle was versatile!

I glued the pears onto the tree and added my sweet partridge to the top. The base is Garden Green cardstock layered with Very Vanilla cardstock and This Christmas Specialty DSP, handstitched with Gold Metallic Thread. Finish with a bow of Gold Natural Trim and your favourite Christmas sentiment.

I hope my projects have given you some additional ideas about how to use this gorgeous bundle. Just a reminder that it is available to customers from 2-31 August and to demonstrators from today until 31 July.

If you’re a customer and you just can’t wait, talk to your demonstrator about joining their team (or for information on joining in Australia, click here) and you can get it early too!

Now it’s time to hop along to the incredibly talented Jessica Winter fom Austria. I can’t wait to see what she has created from the Thoughtful Branches bundle!

  1. You’re very naughty Jess, making me want to buy these too. Love both those cards, but the pear tree is just across the winning line by a whisker! Everything too gorgeous!

  2. Beautiful and creative cards, Jess! I love the way you’ve arranged the sentiments into a tree shape on the first one, and the pears on the second — genius!
