The Stamp Review Crew features Blended Bloom

Today The Stamp Review Crew is celebrating beautiful Blended Bloom. Sadly this stamp won’t be available past the end of May (or once sold out) but you can get it right now at 20% off – WIN.

I decided to accompany Blended Bloom with lots of other retiring products for a project featuring lots of my favourites!

I started off with the idea to recycle a past project idea and that is to use filter paper to create a bloom and watercolour it. I adore the filter paper and am sad it’s retiring so I thought it needed another day in the spotlight. To begin I embossed 4 x Blended Bloom flowers onto the filter paper and fussy cut them out.

I then used the Berry Basket Bigz die (retiring) and some kraft cardstock to make my sweet basket. Before I put it together, I also embossed some blooms onto the cardstock with clear embossing powder. I also used the complementary Shine On DSP to create the scalloped basket edge. LOVE that silver foil shine! I wanted a little bit of contrast for the inside so I lined it with Typeset DSP (retiring).

After deciding on the fabulous Night of Navy seam binding ribbon (retiring) and Linen Thread I decided that the bloom looked beautiful just the way it was. It’s very monochromatic with a pop of blue!

Stampin' Up! Blended Bloom basketBut I couldn’t resist continuing with the plan and watercolouring with Hello Honey (retiring) ink. It’s SO gorgeous and bright against the kraft with its pretty little plain filter ‘petticoat’.

    1. Oh bless you Bruno! I shall continue to bother to write the text, if only just for you! 😛
P.S. Excellent super sleuthing – you did indeed spy some of new new favourite copper embossing powder!

  1. Rochelle, this is a stunning piece of work!! It looks great without the yellow layer, but the addition of the yellow filter paper flower puts it right over the top. LOVE it!
