  1. Love them all Jess! What a great display of versatility:) my favorite is the honeycomb one and I’m disappointed that SU is getting rid of the punch. Is that what you Used?

    1. Hi Natalie – so sorry for my teardy reply. Thanks so much for dropping by and leaving me a comment! I used masking with post-it-notes to create the set of porch swing cards. First stamp onto your card, then make some masks out of post it notes and apply them over your stamping. Then you can apply colour and the post it notes will protect the stamps leaving them white. I sponged the background of my cards as I was a little afraid watercolour would bleed underneath but I’d love to see the results if you try it!

    1. Thanks so much Gail and apologies for the tardy reply! The backgrounds are all sponged on. After I stamped all the images, I made some masks from post-it-notes and stuck them over the top. You do have to cut out the swing slats but the good news is that you can reuse your mask quite a few times. I’ll try to do a post soon on exactly how to recreate this set of cards 🙂 Thanks so much for dropping by and leaving a comment. It is so appreciated!

    1. Thank you so much Maggie. The lady bugs were created using the masking technique. I stamped the ladybug stamp onto a post it and then cut it out ignoring the arms, legs and antennae. Then I stamped onto the card, starting on the right hand side at the bottom. I placed the mask over the original stamp and then stamped again next to the original ladybugs overlapping a little. Keep moving the mask to protect the ladybugs you’ve already stamped as you move across the page. Once you begin a second row, you’ll need another mask or two to protect both those to the right and at the bottom.

    1. Hi Debbie, The starburst is super easy. It’s made with the Star Framelits. Simply cut one star and then place the same framelit back on top but turn it a little so that when you cut the next star, the points will be in a different position. Hope that helps!

  2. I love your snappy birthday card!! The whole card really pops. How did you die cut the black outside edge that goes around the cut out star(s). I tried it with the stars, but it didn’t work out so well for me. Thank you for any help you can give me.

    1. Thanks so much Sandy. I fussy cut the black border by following the indented line left by the framelits. It is a little difficult to see on the black card but other lighter colours should be easier. Hope that helps.
