The Stamp Review Crew is back with some ideas using the Made With Love stamp set. I only received this set recently and I’ve already got a lot of use out of it and not just for baby cards!
This week I’ve decided to create for the season and make an Easter project. I was a bit short on time so I made a simple little tag, but this just goes to show that you can create clever and pretty things even when you’ve only got a few minutes!
I started by creating an egg shaped tag out of Shimmery White cardstock. I used an Oval Framelits Collection shape, not to cut with but to trace and make a template. I held the top in place but moved the bottom to give the egg shape a wider base than top. I then used Island Indigo and Bermuda Bay ink to make a watercoloured background. Next I followed the talented Cindy Schuster’s instructions for making a speckled egg and added Early Espresso ink splotches and tapped some Gold Wink of Stella on as well.
I stamped my bunny on Shimmery White cardstock, painted on some pink for his ears and nose and then cut him out. I stuck him tothe tag with foam dimensionals to make him stand out. As I’d snipped off his whiskers, I added some back on using very fine little whisps of Baker’s Twine.
The Happy Easter Sentiment is from the Circle of Spring stamp set – another super versatile set. Lastly, I attached it to my jar of eggs with some stitched Bermuda Bay ribbon and some Whisper White Baker’s Twine. A perfect little Easter favour!
