11807699_10154108340912222_5910044014783842413_oWell things are a little bit exciting this week at GDP! We’re all CASEing ME! Yes, it’s my turn for the design team and all of your lovely players to CASE this card I made a few months ago (well actually it was last year! Time flies.)…

It features my current favourite stamp set, Timeless Elegance, my favourite ribbon, Calypso Coral Seam Binding and my favourite washi tape from the Everyday Chic pack. I also tried my hand at ‘no-line’ watercolouring for the wreath.

So, to take up this week’s challenge you can choose to feature any of the above, the layout, the colours, the wreath/floral theme etc. and then create your own masterpiece.

Here’s my project for this week, taking inspiration from my own sample card…

Stampin' Up! PLxSU card for #gdp028

I chose a Project Life card from the Moments Like These card collection to be a bold black and white element. The flowers were simply cut from the Birthday Bouquet DSP and I couldn’t do without the same ribbon so I included that as well. I needed a soft background and I actually used some little speckles from a Christmas set, Holly Jolly Greetings which has carried over from the last Holiday Catalogue.

I do hope you play along this week. I’m, so excited to see all the different interpratations of my original card. For more details and to see the projects from the design team, click here.

  1. How exciting that we get to CASE you this week! I was so inspired by your card and had so much fun. You are so talented Jess. I adore what you have done with your card today – using the Project life card like that is so effective.

  2. I am a new player at GDP and I have to admit this beautiful card nearly stopped me playing altogether.! I have a real problem with some colours and sadly Coral is one of them, I should have done what Brian did and completely ignore the colour scheme, but I persevered and thanks to you that I did, as I love what I made, and its made me re-evaluate the colours I dont like working with. if you can cure me of my loathing of Always Artichoke then we will be life long friends (LOL). Thank you xx

  3. I love both your original card and your own CASE. I love how you’ve come up with a totally different look using elements from your original – fantastic! 🙂

  4. Such a lovely card, Jessica! Your bow is perfect, and I love how you paired the delicate flower with the black-and-white paper. It was such an honor to play along with your CASE the Designer challenge. What fun!

  5. Thank you for the inspiration! Both of you cards are just lovely. I love that you have used a Christmas set and pick out a stamp which is perfect for all year round – I shall be digging this set back out!
