The Stamp Review Crew features Endless Birthday Wishes

Welcome to another blog hop from The Stamp Review Crew! This week, we’re featuring Endless Birthday Wishes. This stamp set is so versatile and I love the (almost) endless variety of sentiments and sayings you can put together.

I have to admit is was hard to know where to start with this set. There are so many combinations and possibilities. At first I thought of making tags using the chalkboard technique, but that didn’t seem quite right. Then I attempted a clean and simple card but that’s not really my style either. In the end, I did use some chalkboard and some watercolour and a whole lot of trim – much more ‘me’.

I made a bellyband using a Moments Like These Project Life card which I thought suited the style perfectly and then added a chalkboard style piece by embossing the hip hips and the hooray with white embossing powder and smudging a little white ink over the black cardstock to mimic chalk residue.

Nothing says party like the new Pool Party Glitter Ribbon and the new Melon Mambo and Mint Macaron/Black Baker’s Twine’s really suited the project as well with their black component and a burst of colour. I also cut some thin strips of cardstock and wound them around a paintbrush handle (you can use anything long and thin) to create some spring-y spirals.

To create the tag, I simply cut a tag out of watercolour paper (using Chalk Talk framelits) and dropped a couple of splotches of ink. Once dry, I stamped on my sentiment and cake – no need to colour! Lastly, some sequin trim finished off my party on a box.

  1. Fun, fun, fun! I love this combo and that tag is die for…love that watercolor behind the cake! What about all the swirly, twirly on the top…it’s gorgeous! Who wouldn’t want to receive this package?!

  2. Now that is some super cute and happy packaging Jessica. Love how you take simple supplies and create “Wow” projects! Those twirly details are adorable! xx

  3. So many great details on here! Although I’m not picking favorites – I love the twirly card stock… how neat is that! (Just don’t be surprised if the recipient doesn’t want to open the gift; who would want to chance ruining the box? lol)
