Beautiful Birthday Blooms

If there’s one set I’ve been itching to ink up lately, it’s the new Birthday Blooms stamp set. The set is available 5 January to customers but as a demonstrator, I was able to order it in advance.

It’s just so beautiful and lends itself to my favourite watercolour techniques. Recently I needed a card for a friend so I had my chance to get inky. I used Jet Black StaxOn ink to stamp the blooms so that I could colour it without smudges and bleeds. I had already selected a striped blue background (from the Seasons of Cheer DSP pack), so decided to colour my flowers with Hello Honey ink. The leaves are painted in Mint Macaron ink.

Brush Pen in clear.

I repeated some of the products inside the card to complement the outside….

You can count on this set featuring a lot on my blog in the coming months! It’s a beauty!
