Do you follow @stampinup on Instagram? If so, then you’ve already seen a sneak peek of what I’m going to share today. This week the Stamp Review Crew is sharing samples made with the Festival of Trees stamp set. It’s a super versatile set with a coordinating punch, the Tree punch.
Today I’ve got yet another way you can use it to make it even more versatile. Here’s what I shared on Instagram via @stampinup. Can you see what I’ve done?
YES! You can use the tree stamps to make stars. All you need to do is cut a triangle from a sticky note to omit the trunk and bottom ‘leaves’ when you’re stamping your star. I’ve made a five pointed star, but by adjusting the size and angles of your triangle mask, you could create stars with a different number of points.
It made the perfect topper for my rustic paling Christmas Tree I made recently (see original post here).
Try out all the stamps for different looking stars!
Don’t forget that stars aren’t just for Christmas. You could use this technique all year ’round for events and holidays such as New Year’s and Fourth of July, not to mention birthdays and other celebrations. Now you can use Festival of Trees all year ’round too!
