QUeasy cards and… CASEing the Catty

I feel like my post title needs some explaining! Today my plan is not to make you feel nauseus but rather to show you some Quick & Easy cards.

My inspiration comes from the Holiday Catalogue on page 45.

See that cute little ‘Hi’ acorn card? Well, I don’t have the Acorn Builder Punch, cute as it is, BUT that didn’t stop me CASEing the Catty using some of my other supplies. You can recreate this card using any punched or die cut shape.

For my first sample, I decided to feature a Christmas tree. What else at this time of year right? So out came my Tree Punch. I first punched the shape on a piece of scrap card. Then traced around it with my Soft Suede marker to create the random outlines. Next you’d probably want to use your banner framelits to make yourself a banner template. Me, I used the cute banner from Endless Thanks and fussy cut myself a template. Using your VersaMark pad, ink up the banner, then emboss with gold embossing powder. Add some crazy Gold Thread and your nicely punched image. Accessorise and you’re done.

Next I made a simple heart notecard for someone special. I just swapped out the punched shapes. Easy.

I hope you enjoyed my take on these notecards. Why not have a go with your own punches and framelits?

Now pop over and visit Rachel Palmieri and see what she’s been CASEing this week.

  1. Super cute CASE, Jess. Love them both. I was totally drawn ( ha sorry) to that card in the catty & hadn’t even thought to change it out for a different shape.
